Keeping Kids Safe In Public

Great Use for your Camera Phone...

I had to share this story.
Recently a friend of mine took a trip to
Disneyland with a Mom's Club she belongs to.
She has a special needs son that has high functioning Autism.
Prior to entering the park the mom's got all the kids together and they snapped a photo of the group on their phones.
Little did they know that that photo would become a life saver in only a matter of hours...

While making a trip to the bathroom, her 3 year old son who was locked in the stall with her, unlocked the door and bolted as she was changing her newborn on the changing table.

She yelled for him, quickly scooped the baby up and ran after him.
Hoping that another friend might see him she scanned the faces in the bathroom and did not see anyone she knew.
She just left her items behind and frantically ran out of the bathroom looking for him.

As she hollered for him Disney Staff quickly came to her aid.  She described him but drew a blank in the moment of panic as to what he had on.  By this time some of the other moms from the group had joined her and one remembered snapping the photo.

She was able to text it to the Disney Staffer who then texted the image to Security.  That section of the Park was immediately locked down and within 25 minutes he was located
and returned to his mom.

The camera phone pic saved them a lot of time and heartache!!
So, next time you take a trip out in public - remember to snap a photo of your kids -- no matter their age.  It can help locate them with an up to date photo, description of what they are wearing and can be quickly texted to Security or Authorities for help!
Great use of the Camera Phone!!
